The Person Behind the Practice
Hi, I’m Nicole!
At Regenesis Therapy, I offer a warm, supportive space where you can feel safe, heard, and understood—without judgment. I work with individuals, especially high-functioning women, and couples who are ready for meaningful, lasting change.
With years of clinical experience, over 30 years of marriage, and many years living as an expatriate, I bring both professional insight and real-life perspective to our work together. I understand the joys and challenges of transition, resettlement, and the identity shifts that often come with national and international moves—especially for spouses.
When I’m not working, you can usually find me teaching or speaking to women in my community, taking walks in nature, traveling, laughing at something silly, or enjoying a good meal at one of Houston’s many diverse restaurants.
Your story is not too dark or too messy; it’s your story, and I will be honored to walk alongside you as you process and heal.
What I Offer
I use a trauma-informed, neuroscience-researched, no-judgment approach that blends family-of-origin work, IFS-inspired parts work, somatic EMDR, and gentle, honest conversation. I’ll support you with care, challenge you when it’s helpful, and stay with you through the heavy moments—so you don’t have to carry hard things alone.
Who I Work With
I work with individuals and couples who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward—but are ready for real change.
My work often supports:
Women of all backgrounds, especially high-functioning women carrying past pain, relational trauma, or repeated unhealthy relationship patterns
Women and couples in the perinatal season (postpartum depression/anxiety, parenting stress, birth trauma, grief, miscarriage, and attachment concerns)
Expatriate professionals adjusting to life transitions, relocation, and cultural change
Individuals who want to understand their story, break unhealthy cycles, and build inner strength and emotional safety
Couples caught in negative patterns who want to rebuild trust, deepen connection, and restore closeness
If you’re willing to do the work, be patient with the process, and move toward what’s hard, I can—and will—help you.
What It’s Like to Work Together
Therapy with me is collaborative—we’ll walk this journey side by side.
In the first 2–3 sessions, we’ll focus on building trust, getting to know your story, and connecting the dots between what you’ve lived through and what you’re experiencing now. You can expect warmth, honesty, and often a good amount of laughter.
At times, we may also use the sand tray when words fall short. And when you feel safe enough, we’ll move into deeper work—and I’ll be there to support you through it.
Begin your journey with me.
You don’t need the right words to start. You can come exactly as you are—even if all you can say is, “I don’t know where to begin.” We’ll start where it feels safest, go at a manageable pace, and focus on real movement, healing, and change.
